I am a self-taught artist of many mediums. I began my art "career" in sixth grade after I decided playing the oboe in the band was not how I wanted to pursue my artistic life. I entered into Mrs. Walker's art class and I began learning about various artists and art mediums. In high school I was admitted into the Honors Art classes and then the Advanced Placement classes in the later years. I struggled with my own individuality, worrying whether or not what I was doing was "right" and if it was good enough. In college I chose another profession to focus on and put my art aside until my later years in college when I dabbled in some acrylic paints. Finally after college I had the free time that I was missing and began to paint once again. I also began crocheting and became very interested in creating things in that manner. I have yet to find the perfect medium and prefer to dabble in many at once. I am an evolving artist, with my skills developing daily. I don't suppose to ever be "famous", but I want to be good enough to be remembered amongst my friends and family. I'm thankful to be surrounded by people who lift me up in my art work and support me in what I do.
